Tell me what could go wrong with this ??

An old friend tells me she's been on a few dates with some successful older guy who apparently has businesses. This guy who doesn't even know her basic detail has said he doesn't want her to work and she should consider a business and a business with him.

This old friend said she's unsure what business and wouldn't know where to invest. She mentioned some sort of cosmetic where they do fillers and all that and he said he doesn't know much about that and then said his BM already has that business.

This guy then came out with selling counterfeit items. There will be no contracts involved and clearly nothing legal.

I have said to an old friend that this shouts red flags and why would someone who doesn't even know your name want to invest money in you or put you in a partnership when it's illegal to begin with. She's gone very defensive and is asking what could go wrong FOR HER. I am not a business expert and don't know what else to say.

She said that she can sell items to close friends etc but please people tell me what you think ?? I think it's a very stupid thing for her to get involved in.

Does she have 'close friends' who are prepared to buy fakes?

Does she have enough 'close friends' to make repeat business, keep buying fakes and recommend her to their 'close friends'?

Is she prepared to risk the wrath of Tradind Standards?

Sounds like this older guy might be trying to cuckoo her bank account

Is she insane? He's basically telling her he's dodgy and wants her money!

She has close friends but even with that, it's not a reliable thing as they would probably buy 1 bag and that's it.

I said the same, sounds like he's trying to hustle his way with a single mum who doesn't know about it all, and is selling dreams that it's a simple sell to mates.

Well she could get in trouble with the police. She could lose all of her money. She could piss off her friends by selling them stolen or fake things.
