Is my nail fixable? (Pic attached)

My nail on my middle finger has had a ridge running vertically (along the red line in the photo), and it keeps splitting. I have been cutting it really short, but it's still catching on clothing, fabrics etc

Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to repair this?

I had similar and got a false nail on it until it grew out.

Don't think the nail shop had been ever asked for one false nail before 😁

Perhaps try filing it (across the spilt bit) so it doesn’t catch on anything and let it grow out. I don’t think nail glue will help based on the positioning?

File so it’s not jagged and cover with Rimmel Nail Nurse. I use it to bind my flaking nails and cover any edge tears. It works well as a base for polish and as a top coat. I remove it every 3/4 days to let the nail breathe for a few hours then reapply.

Thank you.

Will try those, and hope something works. It's really irritating me now.
