Anyone know how long things are taking these days?

Someone sent me something last Tuesday second class. The slip says 2-3 days but now it’s seven (tomorrow) and still no sign. Is this common these days or shall I assume that the packages contents have been redirected to someone else’s home or into the confines of a random post office? (Aka stolen or lost).

The person didn’t send it tracked so no luck there. Just wondered if I need to find and alternative for the project the contents of the package was meant to be used for

I sent a birthday card that took three weeks to arrive.

I've sent a letter to my dad 150 miles away second class.....it arrived the next day!!! 😳😳 Other times its taken a week

I don't think ANYthing is getting there the day after posting now! Not even first class mail! I had a letter from my pension company last week (delivered on 10th September,) and it was posted on 23rd August! Second class yeah, but still!

Okay, well these responses actually give me hope that it may yet still arrive!

I’ve heard so many dodgy things about stuff going missing/being stolen/being binned that I don’t know that I trust the RM anymore and if I used the I’d never send something not tracked!

Fingers crossed…

I had tracking e mail last Thursday saying due to be delivered today, it wasn't. A different parcel was delivered on Sunday! The tracking remained the same on the first parcel and it turned up yesterday.
