I am fed up of this built in obsolescence, are there any decent steam irons which just do their job without any drama or need to re-buy every couple of years?

I like my Bosch iron and it's still going strong after at least a couple of years daily use (I sew) and its predecessor lasted about 5 years before springing a minor leak (I was less conscientious than I should be about emptying it out after use). The only thing that doesn't last is the flaps over the water holes - they stop clicking shut.

It heats up quickly and is nice and light so I don't get too much fatigue from using it.

I love this iron so much, I’ve talked about it so much my mum and SIL have both bought one and love it too (yes I am a saddo)

My first thought was who on earth is Tefal Iron.

Mine is a Bosch Sensixx, not sure if they still make them though. I also use ironing/deionised water in it so I don't get limescale issues.
