Why can't I buy DD a magazine subscription?

DS gets a football magazine delivered every fortnight. DD would also like a magazine which "comes from the postman". Rightly or wrongly she loves anything pink and stereotypically girly so I have been looking for eg Barbie, LOL, Frozen magazine subscriptions but I can't see anywhere how I can set up a subscription and have it delivered monthly or whatever like I do with her brother's. You can buy individual back issues online but not set up a subscription, Im really surprised by this.

I know I can just get one from the local shop but she really does want it delivering.

I can only assume it depends on the type of magazine as to whether you can get it on subscription. We’ve had subscriptions to things like The Phoenix, The Week Jr, Nat Geo Kids - maybe the magazines aimed at younger kids just don’t have a subscription model?

I know the plastic tat that often comes with them might be an issue - increases size of envelope and therefore postage costs (would be a parcel rather than large letter) so that probably makes home delivery not financially viable.

It’s pretty expensive but looks like you can get Barbie magazine on subscription

Some post offices will deliver magazines for you - have you asked?

Your local newsagent might deliver it if you ask, like a newspaper
