Anyone got experience of teeth whitening using dental trays/whitening paste from the dentist?

I've heard that your teeth will be stripped to your natural whiteness. Does this actually work ? I don't want turkey teeth, just a healthy white colour. I'm looking at paying around £400 for this and want to know if I will be wasting my money or not.

The dentist will make the trays to my fit. They will provide the whitener. I have to keep the trays on at night

Yeah my experience was great. It's gradual so you just stop when you're happy with the colour, and redo again whenever you like (you'll keep able to reuse the trays year on year).

It took me two weeks to get to the shade I wanted, wearing them 1.5hrs a day and really glad I did it.

*sorry just a note to add I just reread your message - I'm not sure what the overnight ones are. Assuming it's just a weaker bleaching solution than the 1.5hr a day one.

I've got the trays from the dentist and use Philips Zoom whitening paste also bought from the dentist.
It actually works, it doesn't give you "Turkey Teeth" it removes the stains and makes your teeth whiter.
I think it's great, I have very sensitive teeth so I smear a tiny bit of sensitive toothpaste on before I insert the trays then go to bed in them, it takes some getting used to.
I paid about £250 to have the trays made and the paste is usually £85 for three syringes which lasts ages
