Moving to Switzerland - Help!!

My husband has been offered a very good job in Geneva, Switzerland. He really wants to accept if at all possible. I’ve been researching online for days and I can’t get an answer to a few questions, could anyone please help me?

He will be sponsored by his current company, they will provide and apartment and help us rent out our home in the UK. They will sort his Visa etc… but he is a UK National.

My questions are… could I continue to work for my UK based company remotely in Switzerland? They don’t have a Swiss presence so couldn’t put me on payroll there. Would that make it impossible?

If I could work remotely, what Visa would I need to apply for?

Really hoping someone has some knowledge of the rules. Thanks in advance :)

Your UK company could employ you via a Swiss third party/payroll umbrella company. I would google "Swiss payroll company", give a couple a ring and outline your situation. They will be able to guide you on the immigration side. Your UK company could say no, but it helps if you can say this is how it would all work in terms of your Swiss employment status.

Thank you. I’ll give that a try :)

You can apply for Anobag status:

You should get a B Permit by marriage that allows you to work, if your husband has one.
Do check the offer carefully - Geneva is expensive, health insurance is really pricy too.
