My DD is in Year 13 abroad. She wants to take a gap year and wants to spend time in the UK. She has a place to stay in London and will only need to cover her own expenses.
She's decided to do Camp America so that'll take her a few months over summer next year and then she wants to work for some time in the UK.
She's very interested in (eventually) becoming a clinical psychologist and was thinking of some kind of assistant job in special education, mental healthcare etc. to both earn some money and gain some experience. Is there anything an 18 year old with no real work experience (other than a bit of volunteering teaching English to slum kids) can do in this area in the UK? I know there is a shortage of labour and low pay is OK since she doesn't need to pay rent but not sure if these are jobs for someone with no vocational qualifications?
