Any ideas for more challenging toys for a 2.5 year old please?

My DS has plenty of books / blocks / puzzles etc but I feel he does a lot of it so easily now and gets bored. We go out a lot, he loves playing people games too but I'm more needing ideas for actual toys. He hates any kind of messy play!

We've got some small world bits (jungle / farm / sea) and he enjoys playing with dolls and his toy kitchen. He's completely obsessed with cars and vehicles. He loves chalking and painting, not so much into baking. He goes on the iPad sometimes playing games but he has already cracked them and I try not to offer the tablet that much. He has excellent fine motor skills but very behind in speech (still on single words, have recently started speech therapy)

Moving forward he'll be 3 in December, any idea of slightly more challenging / unique toys? Thank you!

Threading and lacing toys might be right up his street

Oh great idea thank you! We actually have a threading cheese so might see if that perks his interest ☺️

Oh, and duplo

Hot wheels- DS is 3 and has a giant hot wheelers volcano launcher that gets played with all the time. Also Duplo train track has been a persistent favourite.

Mine loves his Osmo for educational/fun screen based time. Need a tablet or ipad. We got the starter pack.
