Grey eyes

Was having a conversation with DD today about eye colour. I said to her as I have got older my eyes have gradually changed colour and she said my eyes are grey rather than blue. Looked in the mirror and they are most definitely grey.

Also asked younger DD what colour would she say my eyes were (without saying older DD's response) and she said grey along with my mum.

Not really sure how I feel about having grey eyes- it's not a colour you really hear off!

However, my eyes are very sensitive to the sun which is apparently common with grey eyes.

Anyone else have grey eyes?

Ds has grey eyes, everyone else in the extended family have blue. He loves the colour, it's very striking.

In the georgette heyer regency novels, grey eyes are a sure sign of a calm capable and witty heroine. You’re very lucky!

My DS and I both have grey eyes. Mine are very pale and have a slight green/light turquoise tinge in certain lights, but his are darker and more of a blue-grey. They were very blue when he was little but have gone greyer as he's grown up (he's 17 now).

I have grey eyes, they were blue until I was about twelve. Everyone else in my family is blue eyed, as are my DC
I didn't think of them as different until I got my driving license, and the lady that printed of my photo commented on them.

I think they are about as common as green eyes

I think sometimes it down to the light , in natural light my DHs eyes were Hazle but in artificial light they were more grey esp with florescent light

My grandmother, mum and brother all had bright green eyes when young which went grey.

My grandmothers went to a sort of blue but very washed out, watery blue. My mum died quite young so not sure what hers would have been like - I’ll have to look at my brothers. They aren’t a bad colour or anything! Both my children have blue eyes although mine are dark brown.

And hero too. All the good characters have grey eyes.

It’s a nice eye colour, OP.

Mine are grey, quite a dark blue grey. I've always liked them. Bronze toned eyeshadow suits them best and brings out the blue.

I have grey eyes, I don't think it's unusual?

DD has bluey grey eyes. I'm never quite sure what colour they are but it's a lovely colour.
