Nobody here can give medical advice, even if it wasn't a completely blurry photo. I don't know what you expected people to be able to do with that.

She's stood on something?

Thanks for your compassionate and constructive reply. In case anyone ever sees it in their child: the bruised looking area is where the tissue was dying from the infected verucca. DD is now having iv antibiotics and hopefully we will avoid surgery. She got sick quite rapidly and we went to A and e

What? It’s a bruise.

MultiplaLight · 15/09/2024 14:44

Wow OP I didn't know that could happen. Thank goodness you got her seen. Hope the antibiotics do their thing.

Pixiedust1234 · 15/09/2024 14:47

Was the bruise over the infected verucca then? Because none of the three seem near enough to have caused it. I would have gone with stepping on something too.

Trallers · 15/09/2024 14:48

Oh dear Op, not sure why you got those two snarky responses. Her whole heel looks red too, so clearly not right. Thank goodness you noticed the appearance of her foot or her getting ill might have seemed unrelated. Wishing her a speedy recovery.

Blackandbluesed · 15/09/2024 16:06

Hope she makes a swift recovery OP

Good skills picking that up as a problem, because I would have gone with “trodden on a piece of Lego”.

I hope she gets better soon.

Glittertwins · 15/09/2024 16:26

Never knew that could happen, hope the antibiotics work quickly.

Unconvinced8768 · 15/09/2024 20:20

I had no idea either. It’s cellulitis apparently that is very deep
she’s doing ok. Home tomorrow and then the rest of the I’ve will be given on the ward as an outpatient
