Advice for mixed race hair

I wanted to get some advice for my daughter’s hair. Dad is black and I am white.

My current routine is:

I wash her hair once a week with cantu shampoo and then comb through cantu conditioner leave for 15 mins or so. Then wash out. Then when she’s out the bath I then put leave in conditioner and curling cream. (Currently using pink kids leave in conditioner and curling custard)

then others days I spray with water then add leave in conditioner/curling cream.

is this routine right? I find it’s lovely when it’s just washed and the day after. But after that it seems to go dry and frizzy again.

do I need to change hair products? Am I adding to little or to less?

I need to order a shampoo and conditioner and was thinking about getting a hair mask? Is there any others anyone can recommend other than cantu, not sure if it’s that, that is drying her hair? Also I have read to not use shampoo should I not? Just feel like the shampoo washing the scalp?

thank you

I have no experience to offer advice but there is a section of the site for black mumsnetters who may be better placed to tell you what sort of hair care routines they follow. There are lots of YouTubers who offer advice on how to care for black hair too.
