How’s Your Saturday Evening Shaping Up?

I had a busy shift at work then popped to Lidl for a few bits, including alcohol free lager ( I’m enjoying one now). Also went to Tescos as Lidl had no ready prepared chicken breast joints & I wanted one for tomorrow’s roast. Sitting at the kitchen table looking at a pile of dirty dishes - really should do the dishwasher! Have put a load of washing on though. DH is out on a bike ride. Hoping he will make ham & cheese omelettes for tea. DD15 is lurking in her room as per. She was absolutely vile this morning but seemed in a better mood when I got home. It can be like Jeckell & Hyde! Might watch Strictly tonight. I didn’t really get into it last year. We like The Voice so may put that on & catch up with Strictly later. It’s a beautiful day here in Cornwall & hopefully the sun will stay for the week ☀️☀️☀️😎😎😎

Just eaten delicious chicken pasta made by DP. Kids have done the washing up.Now enjoying a Bacardi and coke and listening to house music (thinking back to the 90's) reliving our youth.

We often have a music night where we each choose a song or sometimes choose an era!

It's been sunny here too but now the temperature is dropping.

I'm wrapped in a blanket but may be lured out soon by hunger pangs. Quiet tonight, seeing my friend for cup of tea, then finishing Rebel Ridge on Netflix.

I've been hanging all day. Tonight DH is out, I'm planning on having lots of coffee, the sofa and a long soak in the bath. I'll also be getting the washing on. There is a lot to do. I've deep cleaned the house today and it feels and looks lovely.

I’ve slept most of the day after a night shift. Got up about 4, had a long hot shower, put the washing away and did my hair. Back to work at 8pm for my last night. Roll on 8am and bedtime!

On the sofa with the 1% club and then maybe a Disney movie with DS, who is currently at a neighbours. I had every intention of making lasagna but my finger slipped and I've accidentally ordered a pizza 😅

DH is making shepherds pie, I’m sat on the sofa with a glass of prosecco, DSS is pulling his face because he doesn’t like shepherds pie, the reality is he refuses to eat anything that didn’t come from the freezer & isn’t beige so this should be fun!

Great so far, feel very relaxed after a busy week at work. Decided I'm not doing any chores today and DS are not here. DH and I had a lie in and breakfast in bed, a nice long walk in the nature reserve in the sun, lunch at home and then a game of scrabble. DH is cooking dinner and then we'll watch an episode or two of The Perfect Family on Netflix. My kind of lazy Saturday.

It’s been cold and raining here today. DH is making a seafood platter for dinner and I’m having a glass of red and watching The Commitments. We’re going to watch Inside Out 2 later.

We watched our team play an FA cup match this afternoon (DS and I) then played catch in the garden.

I might watch Strictly this year - I haven't really followed it in years.

Had so much food at the football it might just be a snack for us this evening.

Quiet night tonight as we're babysitting a friend's baby so will watch a bit of telly and have an early night.

Dozing on and off on the sofa thanks to Covid.

8 friends coming for dinner in one hour. <gets out hoover>

Honestly, feeling like a bit sorry for myself, and have had a little cry.
As this is not how I envisioned my life mid 40s!
Pretty recently split with husband, co parenting, so have the kids alternate weekends, and I’m spending this evening (and the weekend) with my parents (they don’t live nearby). As I don’t want to be home alone and at a loose end.
My friends are all still happily married and doing family stuff at weekends. So yeah, I’m the sad loner.

Looking forward to Strictly & the Voice 😁

Eldest one just came in from volunteering so will start dinner very very shortly. The sun is still out in my part of the world 🌍 🙏❤️

It’s been a gorgeous day here today so we went for a walk and pint in our local earlier and are now all showered waiting for our weekly pizza & film night. We do this every Saturday and it’s our favourite night of the week. My husband and I will have a beer & few snacks whilst the kids eat pizza and later we’ll have homemade kebabs (mine are better than the takeaway version!) and open a bottle of wine. The kids will play together and we’ll probably watch a film!

I'm going away tomorrow and my ASDA order is very late.

DH has just made a GF steak pie from scratch, while I've sat and watched. Full of germs. Pie and mash, sort DD out tomorrow as she has a show and then bed to watch Strictly. Knackered, feel like crap and not looking forward to spending most of tomorrow standing in a field!

Was gardening with DH before, planting tulip bulbs, some weeding and cutting back a few plants and also cleaned downstairs together. Had a lovely bath. Now have lily of the valley candle.

DD has been working on river tours all day and she and DH are at Dunelm together picking up 3 click and collect orders for her uni stuff and I've ordered lots of fleece things.

May watch Strictly. Deciding what to have for dinner, maybe steak fajitas.

DH’s birthday, so we went out. Quiet evening watching Strictly and whatever else appeals. Simple jacket potatoes with various toppings too.

I’ve had a nap think I’ve got the start of a cold and we dropped Dd at university yesterday ready to start her 1st year so feeling a bit meh
Dh has made a cottage pie which we’ll have later as he’s just gone on a bike ride
I’ve just put another wash on and I’m currently curled up with the dog watching last weeks episode of Grace

Quite nice! It's been sunny enough today that I was able to sit out in the garden and have a cider after my dog walk. I've just made a batch of cheesy muffins, going to have a nice long hot shower while husband and daughter go and pick up dinner (we're having Thai) and then watch a movie.

I'm currently sat on an uncomfortable chair waiting for my 8yo to be taken into surgery to have his appendix removed after waking in pain at 3am.

I'm hoping it happens soon as he's getting more uncomfortable as the hours tick by, although he's napping now.

I can't wait to get my boy home & settled, and then have a big, secret cry in the laundry.

Another one who has been hanging all day. Just had a huge dinner, opened the wine and am going to read until DH finishes watching football.

We have had a productive cleaning and organising day, managed to sell a few of the kids clothes which is handy! Kids had a party and DH made a roast. We've all had showers, and into our jammies. Kids are upstairs now and I'm planning a night of Netflix and red wine 👌🏻

Just got home from watching England v New Zealand at Twickenham. About to have fish and chips and watch TV. Opening a bottle of wine.
