My mother growing up.

I have been talking about with my siblings about our childhood. Just a normal working class 90s family. It wasn't the best but wasn't the worst.

One thing that we all agree with though and still annoys us to this day is our mother would constantly give away our things.

I had a huge Barbie house, lots of Barbie's and accessories and I was obsessed with it. I played with it all the time. Then one day I came home and it had gone, all of it had gone.

My brothers both collected different games and toys, some which would be worth something these days. She gave those away too. To family friends with were dirt poor and sold them on might I add.

If it wasn't nailed down she would give it away. Anyone else's mother do this or just mine?

Slightly different but my mother would never let me keep presents people gave me. She would regift them all on the grounds that it was cheaper for her to do that and buy me second hand things.

I wouldn't really have minded the second hand things but half the time they were broken or missing things.

When she comes to my kids birthday parties, she gets quite upset with me for letting my kids keep their things.. (even though I do take a look through and regift duplicates/things I know they won't play with)
