MWNA · 14/09/2024 15:14

Anyone know what comes next in this sequence?

6, 8, 12, 16, 18, 32, 24

I reckon there's a mistake on the paper.

There are 2 sequences
6-12-18-24 - being the 6 timestable
and
8, 16, 32 - doubling
so its 64 next

that is my 10 sec glance at it

Use two different coloured pens to show this visually to your child.

Yes your child needs to be aware they like to do two sequences in one problem like this. They need to be able to think in skips as well as linear.
