Terminal 5 Pod parking

Has anyone used this? What's the parking like? Is it convenient enough with someone sprightly and elderly? Can you park quite close to the actual Pod station?

We used it a couple of years ago and it was great though expensive. We did get parked close to the pick
up area but that may have been luck.

I also found it very exciting, but I don't get out much. 😂

I love pod parking. If you go to the far end there are always many more spaces around station B and it is very accessible and level access into the pod.

Thanks both. Dad is great for his age but I want to make it as simple as possible for him.

The last time I used it, it broke down and we had to be removed from the pods and walked down the line into the terminal!

You can park really close to the pods and even if you couldn't it would be easy to drop of your Dad while you park.

We have used it four times now, a few of those with young kids. It's perfect, easy to park, pods waiting for you as soon as your arrive (no waiting for a bus or handing in your car key).

What's pod parking? How does it work?

We used it with our then 2yo and we all loved it. It was very easy to use.

Me too, I started burbling on about how we were living in a futuristic video game and maybe it was actually a dream. In fairness I'd just come off a long flight! But it is very odd looking!
