Currently a SAHM but contemplating going back to work. I have been offered an interview for a 'proper', full time job at 23K a year. I also have been offered to go back to my old job which is part time, probably 20-25 hours a week and a lot more flexible ie I could either do drop off or pick up for school and it's a 10 min walk from school, 15 from house. The full time job would mean that I left the house at 8am and got home about 5:45pm (about a 40 minute trip each way all in). The difference in average take home pay would be about £550 a month. The full time job would be more mentally stimulating which I would enjoy, but I don't know if it's worth it for the time I'd be not with my family. In my position, what would you decide to do? Childcare isn't an issue and we don't need the money from either job, I'm just thinking about it as it's something that I potentially want to do.
