LED strip lights for TV. Can I cut them to size

I got them for a 32 inch TV but there's loads of excess. Want to do ds room before he returns Sunday and don't want to cut them then be ruined .

Cut through the 4 copper strips between your fingers and they'll be fine, usually they have a symbol of scissors on them.
