Home insurance or landlord insurance

Hi
My landlord insurance is due to be renewed on 1st of October but we are moving into that house on end of December once the tenants move out. I am not sure which insurance to buy, home insurance or landlord? Cause landlord insurance is comparatively expensive, could anyone advise me please?
Thank you.

You would need to get landlord insurance to cover up until the point you're living in the house and then change the insurance to home.
Insurance companies will use anything inaccurate against you if there is a reason to claim.
If you have to make a claim between October and December, and have home insurance despite the property being tenanted - you may as well not have insurance.
