giving permission for dwp to access medical records

Just a quick question, I'm sending over a fit note and they are asking for permission to contact my doctor or surgery or other health professional

I've always routinely given dwp permission, I've nothing to hide. But I'm now wondering if other people actually do this? Am I being naive or do others routinely give permission? If so then I'll say yes..

Seems fair enough. They just want to check you're not lying

Beezknees · 13/09/2024 22:56

Why wouldn't you? They need to check people are genuine. It's a very fair thing for them to ask.

thanks, I always have, I just wondered if others did. I've given permission.
