I thought it looked really good and my kind of show but I found it a bit boring. Something about it couldn't keep my focus. But others I know have enjoyed it.

FeralNun · 13/09/2024 14:23

I enjoyed it. Nicole Kidman looks extraordinary- like a beautiful alien. Her eyes do a lot of acting and she’s compelling!

CornishTeaTime · 13/09/2024 14:24

Im 20 mins in...so far ummm....will keep at it

Yes there's lots of characters so you need to concentrate, but I'm loving it. Love the setting as well, it's made me want to go there. It's Nantucket island (just off Cape Cod).

DoorOpening · 13/09/2024 14:27

Light , beautiful, easy watching. Love Nicole but some other good performances too. But it’s not super-excellent TV for the ages, if that’s what you’re after :-)

BookHimDanno · 13/09/2024 14:59

it's quite a good watch, but I couldn't get past Nicole Kidman's face not moving much, especially compared with the other actors.

InspectorDefect · 13/09/2024 15:03

I watched it and it was v good apart from Nicole's eyes looking too close together....

somethinggotmestarted · 13/09/2024 15:10

Definitely watchable, but not particularly memorable.

MotherTuckingGenius · 13/09/2024 15:15

I finished watching this yesterday and really enjoyed it.

LaurieFairyCake · 13/09/2024 15:49

Really enjoyed it, was very fun

Their family dynamics were horrific, so watchable

twilightermummy · 13/09/2024 16:03

It's alright. It should have been much better with some of the actors in it.

Thisoldheartofmine · 13/09/2024 21:46

I didn't understand what the murderer's motive was.

WafflesOrIceCream · 13/09/2024 21:48

I enjoyed watching it!Nicole Kidman is just stunning!

I didn't understand what the murderer's motive was.

It was explained , trust fund £’s

TheSeagullsSquawk · 13/09/2024 21:57

It's meaningless fluff and quite difficult to retain what's going on as it doesn't fully make sense. It has a lot of stuff that I think are meant to be red herrings but are really just aspects which are introduced as if they are important but not fully explained and just never talked about again. So you spend a lot of time going ' hang on, what, didn't he' - and then some curious facial aesthetics or glorious view gets your attention and you move on.

Nice to look at though and kind of fun. I'd just give yourself a couple of afternoons and binge your way through it.

TheSeagullsSquawk · 13/09/2024 21:59

It is making me laugh the amount of people who keep saying they don't understand murderers motive. It was fully explained - more than once. But as I said the facts, people's actions - really hard to retain as you watch it.

OldTinHat · 13/09/2024 22:01

I've finished it. Very predictable. But, hey, just a bit of entertainment, really. Nothing high brow.

I spent ages being fascinated by this! What kind of work makes your eyes look closer together?

I would summarize this as being very watchable, but not really good TV.

OldTinHat · 13/09/2024 22:03

Oh, and I have to say, the video shots through the windows about 30 thousand times... oh dear me!

AnneLovesGilbert · 13/09/2024 22:04

somethinggotmestarted · 13/09/2024 15:10

Definitely watchable, but not particularly memorable.

Seconded. Some really good performances but nothing ground breaking.

I kept (very unfairly as they’re completely different) comparing it to Little fires everywhere on Prime. I watched that with no expectations and it is absolutely stunning. If you haven’t seen it what that.

myflightiscancelled · 13/09/2024 22:05

Easy to watch, nice scenery, rich people only 6 episodes. it was good but not great. Interesting to see Eve Hewson. I have not seen her in anything before, I liked her.

The maid was the biggest snob of all. “He makes his bed, like a poor person “ . I took note so if I’m ever on Nantucket staying with super rich people to remember not to make my own bed😂

DH was watching it with his full attention, we got to the end and he asked why the murderer had done it. I reminded him and he said oh yeah, and then I think he probably forgot again straight away. It was a bit like that.

AnneLovesGilbert · 13/09/2024 22:08

Eve Hewson’s dad is Bono!

Newtrix · 13/09/2024 22:09

Absolutely dire and Nicole Kidman looks an total clip, she's ruined her beautiful face.
