Can Norethisterone flare skin?

Hi all,

Looking for some advice. I am going on holiday tomorrow to the U.S. I suffer from heavy periods due to endometriosis, and of course I'm due when I'm away. Not exactly sure when as sometimes it's a few days early and sometimes it's on time.

My gynae has given me Norethisterone to delay my period. But I am worried about taking it as I do have some rosacea and I'm worried it will make it worse.

Does anyone know if progesterone makes rosacea worse or better? I am reading conflicting reports. Some say it makes it worse, some say better.

I also have tranamexic acid as an option.

I do have some skin topical's given to me by the derm, I forgot to ask him if progesterone makes rosacea worse! I could call his clinic and ask. I just wouldn't want to start new topicals on holidays and I know they can temporarily make skin worse!

Any advice much appreciated!

I know when I started a progesterone only pill my skin flared up massively, but of course you'll hear different things from everyone so I think your best bet is to choose which will make you more miserable while away - heavy periods or worse roseacea- then pick whether to take it based on that.
