When and why did Giles Coren leave Amazing Hotels?

He was given "a knee trembling opportunity" to do something else. Which doesn't appear to have actually happened, so he might have used 'opportunity' as a euphemism for 'being sacked' due to his police caution and alcohol fuelled social media rants.
