Very. It sucks

Same here and I need groceries 🤦‍♀️ I’m going to look for yellow sticker items tomorrow and see what I can use.

Luckily I have carbs and tins due to childhood poverty.

This isn’t skint.
I have £94 which is more than I normally do by this time of the month! I need fuel and food shopping and anything else that comes up better now and payday.

I think it is skint if you have to take from savings every month for six months, after cutting everything back.
It’s not the same as being completely penniless because there is a buffer but there won’t always be if it’s consistently used for household expenses and outgoings exceed income each and every month.

OP have you used the Too Good To Go app? It can be a bit random but sometimes quite good.

@KaToby its skint to me..that money is supposed to be for a house deposit and I’m currently going through a divorce so I’ll needt to pay far that…the money is earmarked. I know I’m lucky it’s there but I panic when I have to dip into it.

Me too. Olio and food bank till payday. I work fulltime , claim UC. My children detest the pasta and tins week, i make do.
As a single parent there's one income.
Petrol will run out tomorrow

Is there anything that you can sell on ebay/ vinted etc? I've cleared out the kids wardrobes & cupboards and have a box of items to sell. I've uploaded half the items totalling £200 and will upload the rest this weekend.

People are looking to grab early Christmas bargains also household stuff for university students etc. Worth having a declutter to see what you can sell to raise extra cash.

Also, can you pick up one or two evening shifts in a bar/restaurant or supermarket? Lots of Christmas jobs being advertised now so worth having a look.

I feel your pain. This month isn’t quite as bad but last month I was down to £7 with a week to wait for payday. Sending good vibes your way. Do you at least have enough food to carry you through?
