Cyberattack TFL

Is anyone else worried about this? I received an email from TFL today saying that there has been a serious cyberattack on TfL and there was a small chance that some people’s details had been accessed.
I wasn’t sure how TfL had my email… I don’t think I registered an Oyster card but I could have done so years ago. In any case I use Apple Pay these days.

now I’ve seen that someone has been arrested and has managed to.access 5000 people’s names addressses and bank account details. So I’m getting fairly anxious! Does anyone know more about the situation than I do?

yes there has been a cyber attack and lots of names & bank details have been stolen. similar cyber attacks have happened to many other companies too.

yet another reason to be careful with passwords (don't use the same one on many sites) and keep an eye on your credit record.

I've just seen that the oyster website is STILL down because of the cyber attacks. It was down when I tried to get travel cards for the kids return to school at the start of September. Does anyone have any information about when it is due back up? I'm amazed its taking this long to deal
with!

People eligible for concessions like 60 plus for free travel and students who would get concessions have been unable to apply but might get a refund, but who knows? Like other services it’s gone downhill, even though Ulez has made TFL a lot of money.
