Apart from my children:

  • being home alone in the morning on a day off and treating myself to an hour under the covers watching TV with a hot drink (used to feel guilty, now I don't, I see it as a little 'to me from me' presant ) I work hard enough , why shouldn't I do something low brow and indulgent once in a while

On a tangent a bit, but I started getting bogged down with all this pressure of ways to feel good and 'proper' (approved) 'you' time is something physical, like joining the gym, going running, taking up hobbies. I started feeling guilty and exhausted trying to do these things.

Now I'm having a bit of a 'f you modern life ' and realised actually in this busy life, sometimes it's rest and relaxation and 'lazy' time needed.

Taking my bra off at night 😂
Agree! Love taking my bra off when I get home!
I got a birthday card once which had a little verse on the front:
Twinkle twinkle little star/Can't wait to get home and take off my bra
So we are not alone!

A great big bath, with loads of bubbles, and my Kindle.

We have a fairly recent rescue cat who really rescued me after our lovely girl cat was PTS in April. He is an utter joy and a wee ball of chaos - last night he sat in my lap for the first time and it was the best thing ever.

A cuppa, with my puppy pile , I never get to drink it hot, because I don't want to disturb a dog
Heaven to me

My husband saying ‘would you like a cup of tea ?’ Listening to a beautiful song Driving down to the beach and watching the waves from the car with a snack and coffee. Watching the joyful dogs on the beach and remembering my dog who loved running into the sea

Having recently moved, being able to just see trees out of my front window (rather than other houses!)
My kids.
My dogs.
Proper coffee.
A sparkling clean home.
My huge bed with thick duvet cover.
Nice food, nothing fancy, just a good home cooked meal.
Closing the door on the world after work and staying in my bubble until the following morning (doesn't happen every day due to kids hobbies)
