Why did Britney not raise her children?

Just wondering why she never brought her own kids up? Have they been with their dad since they were babies? Did she give them up or did they want to live with their dad?
Genuinely curious, I've not read her book. I know she has paid lots of maintenance for them and their dad sounds like a total waster to be honest, 6 children by 3 different women and doesn't work, just appears to live off her child maintenance from what the press are saying.
It's quite sad if she did give them up, but I don't know the details.

This is a pretty judgemental thing to say about someone who’s had mental health problems, famous or not.

Again,I would suggest that there are all kinds of mental illnesses and just because you are extremely talented at one thing and are able to carry it out it doesn't mean you can live the rest of your life safely and take care of children.

But we know her diagnosis. Bipolar disorder is not something that would cause her to lose her children unless she was experiencing a high or a low that would be impossible to hide in a job like that.

Do we know her diagnosis? I didn't think we did for sure (and nor should we obviously unless she gives informed consent to it being made public). Regardless of whether the conservatorship was the right thing for her, or anyone, she was and is clearly very very ill. I wouldn't be surprised if her case was much more complex than "just" bipolar.

I don't usually comment on Britney as there are so many rumours flying around like bipolar, dementia etc.

I don't think so much of her money should have been syphoned off though. But what do I know?

I mean, the police had to do a welfare check on her not long back because she was dancing with kitchen knives in her instagram video and people were that concerned.

She was literally enslaved by her father to perform and make money. Many people lived off her ability to perform and generate enormous revenue. He didn’t want her to be sidetracked by raising a family.

Bi polar can be manageable or needing to be hospitalised for very long periods of time. If that's what she has.

You only have to look at her Instagram page to see she's a very sick woman.

So you've come on an Internet forum and are trying to publicly shame a woman who is widely documented to have had severe mental health problems? Who has found the best way further her children to be raised in safety whilst providing a good living for them?

I think people who lack empathy are unfit to care for children, they tend to neglect their child/ren emotionally and male everything about them. Awful outcomes for their children as well.

Mental health problems? She shaved her head and lashed out at paparazzi with an umbrella. Big fucking whoop. She was placed under an illegal conservatorship for which the necessary documentation was never submitted. Those controlling her used her access to her DC to control her. If she didn't do what they said, she didn't see them.

I think very few of us would be able to get through that without some sort of trauma response.

I don't think anyone is denying that she was abused and exploited by her family, nor that she experienced trauma.

That doesn't mean she isn't ill though.

@Firefly1987 yes I think she was unwell most of the time. So many layers to Britany’s health and I’m sure we only know a small amount. Child star sexualized child the whole Justin Bieber romance drugs alcohol manipulative parents exploitive parents her sisters teenage pregnancy. She was talented and her managers kept her performing despite it all.

What's also interesting to note is...while she was supposedly very unwell, too unwell to look after herself or her children, she was on the x factor, released albums, toured and had a last Vegas residency....

Another residency had just been announced and she refused to do it and that's when she stared to fight back against her family, her ex husband and his new wife and the conservatorship

I would agree with this.

@GreenFields11 yes my apologies I did spell her name incorrectly. Not only am I in a different time zone to you I have crossed three time zones in the USA also I the last two days. And yes a previous poster mentioned Timberlake not Bieber. I knew as I was writing I could see the face but not the name and Bieber didn’t feel quite right.
