I have a set of Kitchen Devil knives that I have had for 17 years (I know it's 17 - that's when my previous knives divorced me).
The handles are a thin, 1mm(?) rubber covering whatever is underneath. I love these knives. They feel good in the hand and keep an edge well and we've been through a lot together. The rubber is beginning to perish at an accelerating rate.
I've written to the makers, (who no longer make this model) asking if they can be refurbished, but anticipate a negative response.
I'm quite capable of spending more than I need to on new knives, but would really like to keep these.
Any thoughts about how to replace the rubber with an alternative?
