Hello,

Does anybody know of a water filter jug-type thing that can filter:

  • PFAs
  • Heavy metals
  • microplastics

Out of tap water? I was thinking one of those jug things when you put tap water in and it drips through.

I've never had a water filter before in my life and I'm finding it all weirdly confusing. There doesn't seem to be one that does all three? Can anybody help?

Many many thanks!!

Or does anybody have any advice for buying a water filter jug, even if it doesn't exactly fit the criteria above?

Not a jug, so not exactly what you're asking for but have you considered having a filter attached to your sink? We've just had this installed and now have decent tasting water from the tap (previously tasted of chemicals and even smelt bad). It's the best thing we've bought this year. You may need someone to install it but it's meant to be easy to do.

Thank you @RoxieLoxy - I did consider an attached filter, but since we're hoping to move soon(ish) it seemed like it might be more effort and money than it's worth to install. But they do seem more powerful.

I was just coming in to suggest these instead of those plastic disposable ones.

I don't ssee that the above filters out microplastics?
We collect our water directly from source - but in plastic bottles, and we're looking for a way to takeout the microplastics in particular. 😳

I'd recommend the AquaTru Carafe; it's one of the best alternatives to a Brita filter—providing purer water stored in a beautiful glass carafe. Hope that helps. 👍
