Yes, it's one of those threads. I've got a strong memory of a scene from a series (pretty sure it's not a film) but can't land on what it was.
So, it was a series where they did flashbacks to key characters in their younger days, possibly a parent of a key character (think the episode of Sex Education where we see Jean as a teenager - but it's not that). This scene was a flashback to a younger version of a character we've met. A woman, young in the flashback, with long dark hair and played by an actress I think I'd seen before. In the scene it's a period like the 60s, 70s or 80s and she's at a party, behaving quite badly, or at least being quite daring, a popular person, possibly being quite sexual. It's either a long scene or one that cuts in and out - I think it might be most of that episode.
It's something I've seen in the last year or so. I think UK, or potentially Irish - English speaking anyway, but I don't think USA or Australian. My first thoughts were Sex Education but can't think who it could have been, possibly something like Stranger Things or Queens Gambit - but not American. I don't think there were such flashbacks in the Sally Rooney adaptations.
Can anyone get me started on what it could be??
