Any had loss of smell relapse? (Covid/negative)

Back in May I had a bad cold, Covid negative, but completely lost sense of smell/taste so not sure if the test was faulty.

A few weeks later I started smelling a constant phantom smell like tarmac and sulphur. This gradually reduced and 3 months later my sense of smell was about 80% back to normal.

Recently I've started experiencing the constant tarmac smell again, with no apparent trigger (eg no cold / Covid). Maybe a little sneezing, but put it down to weaning off antihistamines (hayfever). This has been going on for about 2 weeks.

Has anyone else experienced a relapse with changes in sense of smell with no other symptoms??
