Useless stuff you 'cant' get rid of

What 'useless' stuff do you have that for one reason or another is impossible to say goodbye to?

I'll go first...my husbands parents gifted him china when he moved out. They have a matching set, so does his brother. It's floral, classic, just not to my taste at all. But it's the stuff they used when we was a child and ties the family together so it just sits in the attic unused and unloved as he won't get rid of it but we have our own which we use.

These Santa figure things they are the stuff nightmares are made of but given with love from an elderly relative who isn't with us anymore and I just can't throw them out we get one of them out at Christmas when another relative comes round it's got to be a bit of a joke between my husband and I now.

For me, it’s a decorative plate with a fluffy cat on it. I’m 28, so I was surprised to be gifted a decorative plate! It was gifted to me by my elderly uncle who had to tell me that it was not to be ate off!

His wife was telling me that he saw it and thought of me and he wasn’t able to put it down. Bless him. It has pride of place on my shelf 🥰
