Trauma or adhd... Or both

I've been wondering recently in the way one does when you've done a hit of training and enough to know you don't know anything...

If trauma and adhd affect brain patterns in a similar way... Would adhd meds help for both?

Part of this is I've always assume dmy issues were due to childhood trauma but more recent years realised I'm likely neurodiverse. But is that a bit of chicken and egg.

Many neurodiverse kids suffer trauma of some kind growing up and misunderstood/punished for being the etc. Or at least a generation ago.

And yet trauma you aren't born with but can present similarly if the brain didn't develop with love and nurture etc.

And I've not got answers just mulling on the links and presentations. And also wondering in my case what's trauma what's ND and can we even tell..

I wonder this too, OP. ADHD can come with rejection sensitivity so if a person is then punished for things they couldn't help and perceive as deeply unfair by the very people who are supposed to love and support them, than that is traumatic and leads to a double helping of rejection. I'm not sure it can be unpicked, really. Even without the rejection sensitivity, punishment for ADHD traits is traumatic. Even without the ADHD, I'm not in favour of punishment for children.
