Currently lots of my friends DC are starting at grammar school. My Dc is the oldest child of my friend group and when she was 11+ age i had no idea about it due to me being an immigrant so she went to the massive secondary school. Dd is bright, as in got full marks in english and maths sats but i feel like she wasnt pushed to her full ability at gcse level as she flew under the radar and tbh i didnt really know how to help her. Shes never done any extracurricular etc as ive had to learn as she grows. Now i have a new baby it makes me sad the difference in opportunities they will get
