Do you imagine false scenarios in your head? Otherwise, day dreaming!

I've always done it since I was young. I'd imagine I'd meet someone I was attracted to, or win the lottery and play it out with different scenarios, as well as have full on conversations. I'd often listen to music whilst doing it too. I still do to this day! I find it gives me a sense of relief from reality, and I can imagine what I want and get that slight bit of excitement even though I know, it won't happen.

What do you day dream about?

Yes, I do. I imagine scenarios which can seem very realistic.

Absolutely! I also practice conversations in my head and sort of out loud too if I'm on my own 😂 it's my therapy!

Yes but mine are a bit different because The scenarios come to me rather than me day dreaming.
For example I was just sitting there the other week and next thing I got an image of a women named Morgan Donovan who lived and worked in a farm in Texas. She had long blond thick wavy hair blue eyes and was dressed in dungarees a and blue checked shirt. Next thing I was back in reality, it’s weird.

All the time. Probably wasted about half my life, tbh

Yes! Look up maladaptive daydreaming op.

MsLavender · 09/09/2024 20:21

All the time! Especially if I'm out and about walking somewhere. It will even happen when I'm watching a film so I lose track and have to rewind or just ditch the film, although I "enjoy" the escape it's something that interferes with my life quite a bit 😬

Yes. It's relaxing escapism.
