Weird marketing email from Leon

I've just received what I think is a faux "internal email sent in error" from Leon restaurants, containing a supposed email thread about reintroducing their "Lucky Katsu" recipe. It's all expressed in very enthusiastic tones and doesn't sound like genuine emails between colleagues - it's all quite carefully choreographed.

Has anyone else had this?

I frequently receive marketing emails with "corrections" which I suspect are deliberate to increase contact/awareness, but this orchestrated error - if it's what I suspect it is - has really upped the ante. It just feels really dishonest.

Yes I got the same thing and thought the interactions did not sound genuine

Why is the email in upside down order?

Tillybabs · 10/09/2024 07:35

It was clearly a cringey marketing campaign claiming that they sent out this email in error

I just found it odd that in order to "get" the campaign you pretty much had to realise you were being deceived. A really perverse strategy imo.
