7 month old baby

Hi! I usually call my baby chunk but normally by his name as well, should i be worried that the baby doesn't look at me when i call his name or even chunk sometimes? Google makes me terrified saying straight away it could be autism im freaking out. any experiences with this?

Does he look round if you clap your hands behind him?

Or is it just not responding to his name and nickname?

Is their autism in your family?

Are you overly anxious or suffer with anxiety?

It seems an odd think to think!

Does baby hear sounds in general? Like pp said if you clap your hands or a noisy car goes by?

If not then ask your GP or HV for a hearing test referral. It’s really jumping the gun to think autism.

he usually reacts to sounds he smiles and laughs a lot when i interact with him. never noticed nothing abnormal, is just that part of he doesn't answer by his name. but that's the problem of google every time you search something they want to make you feel that everything is a issue and makes us go throw a massive amount of anxiety :(

I think you're fretting over nothing. Maybe help him out by only using his name though - if he's being called two things he may take longer to twig that they = him.

Sounds like I wrote this 😆 I'm always concerned about this but I've realised they are a little too young to always respond to their name or even interacting with them they may not want to look at you in that moment lol. I've been around two other 7 months old babies recently and they don't really respond either so it's all good ☺️!
