Help - COVID cough or vape cough

I had a cough in the summer time when I had COVID. I had other symptoms too.

The initial infection is over. However I felt like the cough never really cleared away. Sometimes it's nothing and then other times it's a mile cough and then other times it's intense fits. I had three intense fits this week and I think I will have to go to the doctor.

These fits leave me red in the face, peeing myself, puking. I have a rattling chest.

I do also vape and I wonder if it's something to do with that. I am stressed lately and vaping more. Should I give up the vape.

I am just after having a fit that woke me from my sleep. The fit is calming now but it was very intense.

I was taking an antihistamine for the past few days in case it's that. I forgot to take it on Sunday day morning and it's worse now.

Should I be going to the doctor Monday if I get an appointment.

Also I am supposed to be travelling and flying on Tuesday morning. Not looking forward to it after having another fit.

I'm now trying to sleep but I am unable to. I am sitting up but have bad heartburn.

What would a doctor give?

Just took codeine cough medicine.

Should you give up vaping - YES

Do any of us know what this is? NO

Do you need to see a doctor - YES

Do you need a fit to fly - MORE THAN LIKELY

Absolutely give up vaping. Vile things which should be properly regulated.

I don't think the cough is because of vaping. Sounds like you have a chest infection.

Vaping won't be helping.

You probably need antibiotics.

I hear a wheeze in my chest.

I am at the doctor's now with no luck. He said my chest in fine.

He said he thinks it's reflux and ordered a stool sample.
