Looking for Easter 2026, me, DH, 2x teens by then, 13 & 15

Looking for exciting cities, beautiful scenery, maybe wildlife, lots of 'things we've never seen before', probably have about 16 nights available and about £6K - where would you go?

Both of those countries have all those things ,plus amazing food (imo!) and you really can't go wrong with either. The one thing I could differentiate between them is beaches. If you want beautiful beaches, choose Thailand, it has some of the best in the world. Vietnam has lovely beaches, but nothing comparable. Although check the weather, a lot of Thailand gets very hot in April. Vietnam is kind of a long strip of a country and the weather varies massively across the regions, so that's also something worth looking into.

What about Malaysia (sorry!)? That's where I'd go, assuming you've not already been of course.

I'm not averse to Malaysia! 😃 All suggestions welcome!

Thailand in April is very hot and if your 6k includes flights you will be pushing it

Thailand in April is hot but it’s also their new year which is absolutely amazing, probably one of the most fun days of my life was chucking water at people in Chiang Mai

If you pick Vietnam, start in South (Saigon/ HCMC) and move up to North (Hanoi) via Central VN (Danang/ Hoian).

Vietnam was the holiday of choice for families with teens a few years ago here (Aus). Everyone came back raving about having a good time, I think there is lots to do and see and it really seemed to suit that demographic. Now everyone is going to Japan 😂.

We've planned to go to Thailand next year, but for 5 the price is coming in at 16k. We're staying in nice places and travelling around a but but even so, I think your budget might be a bit tight.
