If your child has ASD what did their reception settling in period look like ?

Did you do the set settling in period like everyone else ? Or did you do part time for longer ?

What worked well and what didn’t ?

Im trying to work out what may be best for us and really struggling and need to make a decision before the end of the week. Leaning towards morning only till half term then adding lunch half term - Xmas hols and seeing how things are but interested to know what others in the same situation have done.

DS started for few hours like other kids nut by day 3 he was confused as to why he wasn't their all day like his siblings, so school suggested he just went full time. He knew kids from nursery in morning and afternoon.

Should say DS is autistic and also has adhd and very sociable
