We've been away for a month and had a cat sitter during this time. We've come home and it's obvious that she's pregnant, don't know how the sitter didn't notice/mention it.
She's booked in to be spayed tomorrow but I'm guessing that it can't be done now?

She can still be spayed - its not ideal but given the fact that cat rescues are overwhelmed with kittens at the moment, its most likely the best solution. It will depend on how far along she is. Would suggest keeping the appointment and getting advice tomorrow.

Thank you. She looks pretty big - honestly don't know why the sitter didn't say anything!

They can be done. Depends on how you feel. Some can be so pregnant that we have to euthanasia the kittens once they are out during the op. It's a personal choice, but there are so many kittens around

What are you saying exactly? Is it that the cat got pregnant on her watch? But perhaps she didn't notice. If she was seeing the cat every day and wasn't familiar with her then she may not have realised. You know your cat and as you hadn't seen her for a month it would be more noticeable.

How old is your cat? Was she allowed out or did you specify she be kept in as she wasn't spayed?

Also how long have you had her, it seem strange you didn't get her spayed before leaving for a month. Could it be that she's just grown/put on weight since you left rather than got pregnant?

Why wasn't she spayed? That's your responsibility. The cat sitter didn't get her pregnant. Cats can escape from the house and that's just part of life unfortunately. Are you looking for child (kitten) support from the cat sitter or something?
