What do you do with DH’s wet trainers and DC’s wet football boots after they’ve got soaking wet during football training? He coaches their team.
They smell so bad.

we got a shoe cupboard from a thrift shop which lives outside by the back door.

Get a boot dryer. Loads on Amazon

Take the insoles out before stuffing them with paper.

Definitely an electric boot dryer. Best Christmas present ever for our football-mad son!

Sorry meant DH's trainers he wore to the match. I wouldn't put footie boots in the machine.

Great tips here. Yes he put them all under the stairs and now my downstairs smells of cat wee! He says he can't smell it!

We have an outside box so will store in there once dry.

I've bought one of the electric boot dryers and it's amazing. Dries them in 20 mins.

So they came back yesterday with damp boots and I dried them on the electric boot dryer. Now the hallway stinks of the cat pee smell. How do you actually get rid of the smell in the football boots if you can't put them in the washing machine?

Banana boot things as well? I've got come camomile teabags.
