Ti's the season

It's started. I woke up at 3am feeling uncomfortable and turned on the bedside lamp only to see the first of the season staring at me from the carpet with its multiple eyes and big hairy legs.
I don't think I can get through it.

I had one at the top of the stairs a few days ago, it was huge!

I've since prepared the house to try and deter any from entering and killing any that do. I use a chemical spray that leaves a residue behind and kills any that walk over it along with a mixture of peppermint, eucalyptus and cinnamon oil which they supposedly hate the smell of, I soak cotton pads in the oil mixture and put them under furniture, in the corners of rooms and places where they might show up.

Those methods combined with vacuuming corners every day and using a cedarwood floor cleaner which is another scent they apparently don't like seemed to help massively last year so I'm using the same methods this season.

We haven't had any big ones yet, but I can't open a window without small and medium ones immediately sneaking in 🙄

I dread it! There was one the size of my hand in my hallway yesterday! 😱
