If you're a dentist, do you floss?

If you're a doctor, do you eat your five a day?

If you're a lawyer, do you always read the small-print?

If you're a gardener, do you keep your own garden weed-free?

Dentist here that flosses. Love the squeak.

Pinkypinkyplonk · 06/09/2024 20:53

Dentist here. Twice a day. And more if stuff’s stuck!

ZoeyBartlett · 06/09/2024 20:53

Lawyer - never read the small print.

I've just bought some of the "harp-shaped" flossing things. I think it's a game changer!

If you're a teacher, do you write in your kids reading records?

DrMadelineMaxwell · 06/09/2024 20:55

Yep - teacher that wrote in reading records.

Come high school I taught them to fake my initials for it though!

thoonerismspread · 06/09/2024 21:11

Counsellor. I am crap at looking after my own mental health.

Haha I have literally just answered this (counsellor, a type of therapist).

I am not kind enough to myself although I am getting better.

Lawyer and always read the small print

cocoloco23 · 06/09/2024 21:21

My hairdresser said to me today, “you can tell a good hairdresser by the fact their own hair is crap”

She meant that a good hairdresser is always booked up so doesn’t have time to get his / her own hair cut / coloured.

Religiously. Try to write interesting things now and again because I like it when parents of children I teach do.

Ifonlyiweretaller · 06/09/2024 21:23

I worked in a bank....but never had any money 😉

I did a speed awareness course a few months back and there was a police officer having to do it!

I’m afraid that is terrifyingly the case and not a joke 😥

RawBloomers · 06/09/2024 21:48

I was a police officer and occasionally sped or parked illegally, and smoked dope. Much less than before I joined or after I left, though.

Level75 · 06/09/2024 21:50

Lawyer, and don't read the small print. I'm good at skim reading for the relevant parts though.

@plotatoes I'm interested to know what as a teacher counted as an interesting entry??

Anecdotes related to the book mainly - funny things the child has said, links they've made to things in class (uplifting when it sometimes feels no one is listening!), random facts the parent knows related to the topic, mistakes found in the text (because I'm a pedant). I'm always delighted when children have any reading at all in their reading records but there are usually one or two records a year which I look forward to checking 🙂.
