Velvet armchair...yes or no

Contemplating buying the Hebden armchair from Dusk. But is velvet a pain for picking up dust and fluff?

We have a solitary velvet armchair and hairy cat. We use this

I can't stand velvet so it's a no from me.

I will say ours is easier to de-fur/comb as it is smooth. I’d be reluctant with the button grooves.

Rubber glove. Wipe. Done. It's a yes from me for a lovely chair.

I almost bought a pouffe in buttoned velvet from Next Home. The lovely girl on the till said that she spent every day attempting and failing to clean/dust the one on the shop floor and it was the bane of her life 🙀. I hadn’t even thought about the issues with lint/dust/fur removal! I reluctantly left it behind.
