He set her on fire in front of her daughters. I feel such RAGE reading this. Nothing will ever change will it, there will always be men who will try to extinguish brilliant women. It feels really hopeless.

Awful. Yes this will disappear from news in hours/days and should be an outcry.

I just read this - although I didn't see anything about it being in front of her children. Absolutely horrific. And yet these stories are no longer surprising. You get to the end and wonder who's next.

To be fair, the term “family annihilator” has been around for at least 20 years (was used in Criminal Minds, and that show started around 20 years ago) so this isn’t a new thing - it does however seem to have increased - unless of course it’s simply being reported more now?

I can't bring myself to read the story but why are men (not all men) like this????!!!!!!!

It’s horrendous & I feel like I keep similar stories. Just recently we had the crossbow one, then the family killed in the house fire & I’m sure there have been others. It’s so tragic.

Some countries have a separate crime of femicide where a woman is killed by a man she is in or had been in a relationship with.

I would hope such a crime would carry a life sentence.
