Getting vomit smell out of room

Hi everyone,

anyone have any tried and true trips for getting vomit smell out of a room? My son still has some reflux issues and vomited what can only be described as an abomination of ham, cheese and milk all over his room. I’ve cleaned all of it up, but the smell is lingering. Any tips? Would appreciate.

Bicarb - sprinkle liberally, leave for a while then vacuum it up.

For soft furnishings - carpets, mattress etc - sprinkle liberally with bicarb of soda. Leave for 6 hours, then vacuum. Worked on my son’s mattress when it absolutely reeked.

Bicarb. The world fell out our dogs arse a few months ago when he was poorly and I thought I would never be able to remove the smell (while we waited for a new carpet!). Although the offending matter was removed immediately, carpet bleached (it was ruined anyway) etc., the only thing that got rid of the smell was bicarb.

this happened to us when DSS was little. Only thing that worked was hiring one of those carpet cleaning machines from the supermarket
