Lunch along Victoria line

Central London mumsnetters

I will be arriving into kings x for just a few hours for lunch with a friend. From her station, we imagine we will maximise our time if we pick somewhere centralish on the Victoria line for lunch. It's been ages since I've been familiar with places for lunch in London. Any suggestions? Somewhere we won't be rushed off our table, no budget or cuisine preferences.

Would love your recommendations!

I think if you're already coming into Kings X and she's Victoria my preference would be to head around to Coal Drops Yard (walking distances from Kings X) and pick one of the many options there? Victoria to Kings X is only about 10 mins on the tube.

Or otherwise my favourites in central London are Chinatown (not on the victoria line but you can go piccadilly direct from Kings Cross and she can do one stop on the Victoria to Green Park then pick up the piccadilly from there) or Borough Market - you can do Northern line to Borough or London Bridge, again she'd need to change probably at Stockwell but only once.

Or if you def want on the Victoria line, the one that springs to mind is Charlotte Street which is just down from Warren Street station - there are lots of small restaurants on that road of all cuisines and should be quiet enough at lunchtime...

Yep was going to suggest Granary Sq.

Although depends where on Victoria line your friend is coming from and did you want to meet in the middle?
