I've just caught part of the documentary on BBC2 and it got me wondering - who would be the UK's equivalent of him? An actor, comedian, winner of the Ukrainian version of Dancing with the Stars. But also - someone with enough gravitas and courage to lead the country in war as the underdog against one of the world's most dangerous men.

A man I met once high up on Exmoor, ex marine living alone. Thick set, wild hair and beard. A hard gaze and piercing blue eyes that read your mind and scraped every thought out and left a tonne of ice behind. Someone like that would turn Putin's insides to jelly.
