Are you going to fix your energy tariff ready for 1st October price rise ?

I have.

I was just thinking this, who do people recommend? I’ve been really lax on this and didn’t fix it last time although it didn’t go up too much in the end.

Currently with EDF, how does it work with swapping if I have a smart meter?

I switched to Octopus a few months ago who have been really good. I had a link for £50 credit when switching.

I have a link for £50 credit each if you switch if it's any use to anyone.

I only have electric and my current unit rate is 23.13 with a standing charge of 53p but I can fix for 12 months at 24.44 per unit with the same standing charge and no exit fees so I think I will fix.

Also, when I spoke to octopus this morning they said that there would be price increases 1st October, 1st January and 1st April.

I got an email from Octopus this afternoon about this. I decided to switch today, as the new fixed tariff seemed worth it. It's exit free, so I can easily switch back.I haven't bothered to fix for a long time.

I've been on the variable tariff for a long time now but I've just phoned and fixed it for 12 months. Seeing as there are no exit fees I've nothing to lose.

Feel free to get a quote. My advice is to check the unit rate and daily standing price.

Here's an offer from UW for a welcome bonus of £50 when you join - thought you might like it 😎 I'll also get a reward, so it's a win-win!

I have taken matters into my own hands, mums.

www.tariffchecker.co.uk - all run by volunteers to unlock heat hours for households this winter, and beyond. All we need is your latest energy bill and we can identify the cheapest tariff from ALL tariffs and ALL suppliers.

Fully-independent - we do not work with any energy suppliers.

I really hope it helps.
